What age should I start piano lesson classes?
5 years and older is a good starting age for piano, but in a way they are familiar with. Yes, we know back in the day piano lessons were a solitary journey with a strict teacher looking on while tapping a firmly held ruler in hand to a ticking metronome. Young beginners do not respond well to this, their learning journey whether in school, sports, church or general activities is always in groups, something they are accustomed to and a format they thrive in.
We have developed our group piano and singing classes for ages 5 - 12 so that the students are learning in a way they are familiar with in activities such as choir, theater, dance, sports, martial arts, school and just about every other activity they engage them. It is the perfect way to train our voice while learning social interaction and how to blend our voice with other students their age.
Recitals and Performances
Gymnastics and swimmers have meets, athletes have games and competitions, theater has the big show, singers need a way to exercise those hard earned skills. Every student is invited to our recitals and concerts around town, from our Black Tie Winter Recital at the Keller Roundhouse on December 12th to performing at the Northpark Ymca Boo Bash and a bunch of scheduled gigs in between, your student will get invited to perform solo or in a group.
